Assumption of Risk
Owner acknowledges and is aware that the employees of Coastside Pets are not veterinarians and do not have backgrounds in animal medicine and are not expected to diagnose or detect illnesses in the pets that are staying at or in the care of Coastside Pets. In addition, Owner acknowledges and is aware that vaccines do not protect against all communicable illnesses that may affect a pet. Owner acknowledges and agrees that they are assuming all risk of illness, disease, harm or otherwise to their pet by allowing their pet to stay at Coastside Pets.
Home Pick-up and Delivery
Regular hours for home pick-up and delivery are between 8 am and 5 pm, and are subject to our van schedule.
Daycare is available during normal operating hours which are Monday - Friday from 8am - 3pm.
All dogs over 7 months old are required to be spayed or neutered and potty trained.
Payments must be paid in full at the time of vacation service. Forms of payment accepted are cash and checks. We do not accept debit or credit cards. For existing clients, payment is due upon receipt of your invoice. Coastside Pets will add $35 plus bank fees for any returned check.
Please add an additional $5 per visit for Pet Sitting visits & $20 per day for Boarding & Overnights on major holidays: New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Weekend, Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving Holiday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Holiday.
Holiday Payments & Cancellations
All reservations for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's must be paid in full at time of booking. Please understand that pet sitting services receive more requests for reservations than they can handle during holiday time periods and we may have turned away other clients because we reserved time for you during a busy season. All holiday reservations require a 7-day notice for changes and cancellations or Client will be charged a 50% cancellation penalty of the total amount due. No credits will be given for early returns during holiday periods.
Early Returns/Last minute Changes
We understand that your plans change and we do our best to accommodate your change of plans. If you return home early, please notify us immediately. If, however, you do not notify Coastside Pets of an early return and we make a trip and find you home, the regular per visit charge applies.
If you cancel 24 hours or less prior to the date of the first visit you will be charged for that first visit only.
It is your responsibility to provide Coastide Pets with local contact who has access to your home. This should be a person close enough to walk to your home if roads are impassable (for example, a neighbor). If we are physically unable to drive to your home this information is needed so that we can contact this person to request their assistance to check on your pet(s). Please remember that garage door openers are not operational in the event of power outages. In the event that the customer does not provide a nearby emergency contact with access to your home for Coastside Pets, customer realizes that we will provide service but not until conditions allow us to reach your home safely.
Set of keys, codes and necessary instructions to enter and secure your home are required. If you live in a gated community, you must inform the Guards at the Gate that we will be caring for your home. Keys will not be returned by mail, hidden outdoors or locked in homes at last visit. We prefer to keep your keys on file; however, if you wish to have your keys returned after the pet sitting assignment, we will make arrangements ahead of time to return your keys. We return keys the first time without charge. However, if keys are not left on file with us, after the first pet sit visit, Coastside Pets charges $10.00 each time we must come to your house to pick up keys. Keys are kept in a secured lock system and are coded for customer's confidentiality.
Pet and house clean-up
Coastside Pets will properly dispose of pet waste if instructions are clear for outdoor waste disposal. We will do our best to clean up any accidents your pet may have. We are not responsible for carpet/flooring stains created by your pet(s).
ID Tags & Collars/Harnesses
All dogs must wear visible ID tags when they are in our care. Due to safety concerns, Coastside Pets requests that you provide an appropriate collar/harness for their walks.
Access to your Home by Others
Coastside Pets does not accept liability for other persons, who will be in your home prior to, during, or immediately after our services have been rendered. Please inform us at the time of the consultation of anyone who may have access to your home while you are away. This includes cleaning services, maintenance personnel, friends, family and neighbors. It is understood that the client will notify anyone with access to the home that the services of Coastside Pets have been engaged.
All reservations will be confirmed by e-mail. If you do not use e-mail, you will receive a telephone confirmation. If you have not received an email or phone confirmation, your reservation may not be secure. Please call before you leave if you have not received a confirmation.
Client must notify Coastside Pets when you have returned home. If you do not contact us via email, text or call and do not answer your phone, Coastside Pets will make additional visits and you will be charged for those visits. Coastside Pets must know that your pets are being cared for and no additional visits are required.
